Honda Korea Co., Ltd. ("Honda Korea", "We," "Us" or "Our") is dedicated to providing products and after sales services of the highest quality and standard to its customers. We value the trust of our Customers for sharing their Information, Data, Personal Information,(hereinafter collectively referred to as “Data collected or Data”) and strive to maintain the privacy and protection of their Data shared with us in connection with purposes related to connected car functions and services (in short the “Services”) and the Honda Connect Application (in short the "Application"), in accordance with reasonable security practices and procedures under the applicable law, as amended from time to time.
We shall use the Data collected from you, to enable you to avail the services and use the application in an effective, functional and in a manner beneficial to you. This Privacy Policy provides information and helps you to understand the data collection, transfer, sharing, use, international transfer activities and protection of the data collected from you when you visit our website, download and use the Application, use our products and services. The Data collected shall/may also include Personal Information as well as Sensitive Personal Data/Information of the users who have registered an account for availing the Services and using the Application ("You", "Your", or "Yours"). We do not intend to collect or use any data/information related to persons less than 19 years of age (minors), However, in relation to this, we solely rely on your declaration.
You shall have an option to opt-out and/or withdraw your consent of the Services and the Application by contacting Honda customer support. You can contact Honda Korea Customer support to review the Data provided at your end and to ensure that your personal information or Sensitive Personal Data/Information is not inaccurate or deficient. However, Honda Korea shall not be responsible for authenticity of the Data provided from your end.
This Privacy Policy does not cover information that you submit on interactive features and digital services which are provided by third parties. For example, if you post something on Facebook or X, or if you provide your information on other apps in which we certified that they can be used along with the Application, that information is governed by the privacy policies on those websites/applications, and is not governed by this Privacy Policy.
The Data is collected from you when you provide details to avail the Services and register on the Application or when you update the details. We may also collect your Data from other sources, including but not limited to the authorized dealers, your insurance broker/ intermediary or insurance companies whom you have contracted, our service providers like Honda Korea call centers whom you have contacted, company in case of corporate sale, RSA provider, voice command interface/applications.

We collect personal information from you when you provide your information to us or when you update your information to us. This may include, but not limited to, the following information. (collectively "Personal Data").
This information on its own does not identify an individual but it does provide us with statistics that can be used to analyse and improve our website. If you do not want cookies to be used, please adjust your browser to disable them.
This information is used by Honda to improve our services. It is never given to any other company for that company's independent use.
In case we use certain types of information described above in the way that would enable us to identify you, we will treat such information in the same manner, as it were your Personal Information.
This Privacy Policy also applies to the collection, use and sharing of Users’ Personal Information by our parent company, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and its affiliates and subsidiaries.

Honda Korea is not responsible in any manner for the consequences / impact of the promotions, offers, additional services and other services for the customer / user.
Your provision to us, our authorized dealers, or agents of your information will constitute your consent for us to disclose this information as described in this Privacy Policy.
4. Cross-border Data transfer
We may transfer your Data outside South Korea as follows. The transfer of your Personal Data may only be done by obtaining your consent or there are any other compelling legitimate grounds (e.g. to perform the contract terms) as permitted by applicable laws.
The server of the Services is located in Singapore and your Personal Data is processed in accordance with the applicable personal data protection laws of Singapore.

Honda Korea will take necessary steps for the protection of the Data that is transferred outside South Korea and will ensure that the receiving entity shall have the same reasonable level of data protection that is adhered to by Honda Korea as provided for under reasonable security practices and procedures under the applicable law, as amended from time to time.
Honda Korea will create a backup data outside South Korea to store the Data including personal and sensitive personal information of the user. However, financial data shall not be stored outside South Korea.
5. Security
We use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures, to protect your Data from accidental, unlawful, or unauthorized destruction, loss, access, use, alteration, or disclosure under our control. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or data storage system(s) can be fully secured. We exclude all liability (including negligence) for the consequences of any unauthorized access to, disclosure of, misuse of or loss or corruption of your Data.
Honda Korea further urges you to follow best and safe security practices for your device on which the Application is installed and also in relation to access to the internet so as to avoid any breach of Data happening at your end. Honda Korea shall not be responsible for any breach and consequential misuse of Data originated at your end. Therefore, the Application will not work/ is not intended to work on jail broken/rooted phones/devices.
Honda Korea cannot guarantee or verify the contents of any externally linked website despite its best efforts. You should therefore note, that if you click on any external links at their own risk and this website/ Honda Connect Mobile Application and its owners cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any external links mentioned.
6. How long we retain your Data
We will retain your Data for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy and for the period required pursuant to applicable law, as amended from time to time. When we are no longer permitted by the applicable laws to store your Data, we will remove it from our systems and records, and/or take necessary steps to anonymize your Data so that you can no longer be identified. When removing your personal information, we will take reasonable and technically feasible measures to make the personal information irrecoverable. For example, electronic files which contain personal information will permanently be deleted using a technical method which makes the files irrecoverable, and any other records, print-outs, documents or any other recording media will be shredded or incinerated. In the event a judicial or disciplinary action is initiated, your Data may be stored until the end of such action, including any potential periods for appeal, and will then be deleted or archived as permitted by the applicable laws, as amended from time to time.
7. Updates to the Privacy Policy
Honda Korea reserves the right at any time at our discretion and without notice to change this Privacy Policy simply by posting such change on the website/ the Application. You will be put to notice of such change in the application with request for your consent & acceptance to the change. However, if you choose not to provide your consent to the change, it may prevent you from being able to use all or certain parts of our Application and/or service. The continued usage of the Honda Connect Application following changes to these terms shall mean that you accept these changes.
If you would like to stop receiving marketing/ sales/ service communications from us, you may inform us via email, telephone and/or in written form by using our below contact information in "How to Contact Us". The changes may not be effective immediately. We will proceed with your request as soon as we can. If you would like to stop receiving marketing / sales/ service communications from us, we will continue to send other information related to important services management to you and you may not cease to receive such information.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to access or request copy of your Personal Data held by us and, if necessary, have it amended to correct any errors. You can also request us to disclose how your Personal Data was obtained if without the consent from you. You are entitled to require us to delete or destroy or temporarily suspend the use of your personal data, or convert it into information which cannot identify who you are, when we fail to comply with our commitment under this Privacy Policy.
You can request deletion of your personal information stored on the Honda Connect app by contacting Honda using the contact details provided in section 10 and requesting deletion of your Honda Connect account, or deleting your Honda Connect account directly from the Honda Connect app.
We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable. Note that despite our efforts, there may be residual information that will remain within our databases and other records, which will not be removed or changed. Further, please note that we may need to retain certain information in compliance with applicable laws.
